ABOVE PHOTO:  This photo appeared in the Racine
Journal-Times, Thursday, 04-15-54 as part of a four
photograph piece entitled "Kilties Polish Repertoire,
Uniforms for Annual Kapers' Show on April 22."   This
photo's caption read, "Busy Days lie ahead for members
of the Kiltie Drum and Bugle Corps and their parents as
last minute touches are added to the 'Kiltie Kapers.'   
The 'Kapers' will be staged at the Rialto Theater on
Thursday, April 22.   On that night, the buglers at the far
left will be in the resplendent Kiltie uniforms.   Reading
from left, Tom Clunie and Dave Crane, baritones;   
Robert Eschmann, French horn and Dave Piggins,
soprano."
TOP PHOTO:  Another of the four photos that
appeared in the Racine Journal-Times, Thursday,
04-15-54, entitled "Kilties Polish Repertoire, Uniforms
for 'Kapers' Show on April 22."   This phto's caption
stated, "The famous Kiltie uniforms are being fitted in
the second picture in which Mrs. Ray Carter, uniform
chairman, adjusts the coat for Bob Cormack while
Dave Schmitt hangs carefully."
ABOVE PHOTO:  Another of the four photos that
appeared in the Racine Journal-Times, Thursday,
04-15-54, in a series of four photos entitles, "Kilties
Polish Repertoire, Uniforms for Annual 'Kapers' Show on
April 22."   This phto's caption said, "Drums receive
some precision drill in the third picture with Harry Paten,
drum instructor, at left giving pointers to (in order) Paul
Dawson, tenor;   Larry Gorski, snare;   Allen Isen, snare;
  Virgil Szymczak, bass;   and Tom Seymour, bass."
ABOVE PHOTO:  The fourth and final photo that
appeared in the series entitled, "Kilties Polish
Repertoire, Uniforms for 'Kapers' Show on April 22"
that appeared in the Racine Journal-Times, Thursday,
04-15-54.   This photo's caption read, "Parents
mapping the program include (far right) Art Slaasted,
publicity chairman;   William Cormack, program
Chairman;   Mrs. Les Long, general chairman for the
Kapers; and Emil Pavlik, producer."

1954 Kiltie Kapers' program book.
TOP PHOTO:  This photo appeared in the
Racine Journal-Times in July of 1954 and its
caption read, "Racine YMCA Kilties Drum and
Bugle Corps has added a three-foot trophy to
their collection of awards as the result of scoring
first place in competition last weekend in
Madison.   At left is Drum Major Robert Cormack,
20, of 1110 Lathrop Ave. with assistant, Jack
Hansen, 11, of 5830 Sunset Blvd."
