BELOW: This photo appeared in both the Milwaukee Journal
and the Racine Journal-Times. Photo Caption was, "John R.
Fleischer, former drummer with the YMCA Kiltie Drum and
Bugle Corps, and his bride, the former Barbara Seidel, were
surprised Saturday night, 6-11-55, with a serenade from the
corps in full regalia as they stepped out of the Resurrection
Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Francis, WI after the
wedding ceremony. Thrilled by the unexpected tribute, the
couple marched between a double row of the plaid-clad Kilties
as they played, "Lady Be Good." Fleischer was with the drum
corps until this year, 1955. The street was filled with
neighborhood residents who were attracted by the spectacle.
The corps played several other numbers".
