TOP PHOTO: This photo appeared in the December, 1964,
issue of Drum Corps World magazine. Left to right: Jon Dorsey,
Bill Schultz, Bob Ahlborg, Ken Norman and Les Chambasian.
KEN NORMAN STATES, "Another historic photo, and not just
because it was the last contest in which I was eligible to
compete as a Kiltie.
We switched instruments, starting a corps photo tradition which
persisted for over a decade.
It culminated in 1972-73, when the riflers and tri-tenors would
swap equipment in grand finales."
JEFF RASMUSSEN STATES, "I believe that traditon ended in
'72 when John Beckett and I traded our rifles to Camarada and
Psczelkowski for their tri-tenors. It may have gone unnoticed
until we decided to do more than just carry them.....not a big hit
with the staff!"
